[Origins: lines from my chemistry textbook , a eureka moment
What to expect: Something very unexpected yet simple, roundabout, unnecessarily long]
If one fine day you go around town , asking those you deem most eligible (may I suggest students grade 5 and up) why must the soil be 'garnished' with fertilizers , they will answer "to fertilize it" or if you luckily happen to meet the smarter ones from the lot , " to replace the lost nutrients ".
When asked why must the soil be fertilized, one might expect to be bombarded with an endless list of repetitive answers framed in infinite ways yet the basic response that satisfies this inquiry remains absent from our minds. It is simple , simple to the point of being the nitrogen (an unreactive gas , compromising 78% of our atmosphere , diluting the effects of the reactive oxygen gas) in our atmosphere , it is always there yet no one notices.
In the unnatural process of intensive agriculture where crops do not decay to return to the same soil that bore them deem it(the soil) barren ,infertile, incapable of nurturing the next batch in its deep, dark , damp womb .
And there we go with our "ahs" as the rusty old bulbs twinkle. How obvious yet oblivious !
And so is the fundamental truth of everything , obvious yet oblivious in its own peculiar manner. Some seek it yet , while others choose to be raptured by the bliss of ignorance.
